Remi Hirschtick is an artist, writer and party-thrower based in Brooklyn NY. Their creative work and scholarship explores the intersections of queer kinship, modes of collectivity, sports and gameplay, and popular culture, namely reality television. They find their work always teetering on the edge of prank, party, game, inside joke, and comedy.
Remi curates and hosts “Drafts on Tap”, a monthly reading and performance series for artists who write at various locations in Brooklyn (most recently, Purgatory).
Remi loves home decor, reality TV, karaoke, birthdays, power clashing, group texts, chill hangs, poetry, The Cranberries, dancing, playing pool, biking, Survivor, striped shirts, the golden hour, comfort food (chicken pot pie), having crushes, their friends, their family, their cat, their dog, grand romantic gestures, sunsets, the M train because it goes over the bridge.
