Drafts on zoom

In March 2013, responding to the growing Coronavirus-2019 pandemic, my monthly poetry and performance series “Drafts on Tap” halted indefinitely - and Drafts on Zoom began. Though following the same general structure, the readers of Drafts on Zoom quickly became a much more expanded group of artists and audience members across the country. Performers also used the video chat format as a way of experimenting with form, with some conducting power point presentations, short films, screen-shared videos to accompany written work, and more. Seeing performers within their homes and backyards, with roommates and pets and family members, merged Drafts into a more distant, yet intimate space.
